Our Comprehensive Success Package

Our Comprehensive Success Packages are designed for high school English students, especially those in Years 11 and 12. For 14 years, we’ve helped hundreds of students attain high ATARs and achieve outstanding results in English Advanced, Extension 1 and Extension 2.

Every English Mastery student attends weekly, one-on-one, hour-long sessions with one of our experienced English masters. Our sessions are catered to the individual and designed to boost each student’s English rank and marks.

We help students with all aspects of examination process, from helping them craft original creative writing pieces and composing insightful, structured essays, to deconstructing the English syllabus and assisting them prepare for oral assessments. We provide students with the tools to master the building blocks required for exam success. We also help them develop a thorough understanding of complex grammar rules and a broad, sophisticated vocabulary.

Sessions take place at our Gordon offices. If travelling to Gordon is burdensome, students may elect to have sessions conducted online via video-conferencing.

Who is the instructor?
All our students work with one of our two English Masters; Mark Longhurst or Kay Woodall.

How are sessions structured?
While tutoring sessions are designed to meet the needs of each individual student, and hence may vary, typically sessions combine elements of teaching, discussion, completing exercises and essay-writing.

Students are encouraged and expected to attend weekly sessions during the term to maximise the effectiveness of tuition. Nevertheless, we understand that student occasionally reschedule in order to meet other commitments. In the event that a student wishes to cancel or reschedule a lesson, at least 24 hours notice should be given by phone or email. If less than 24 hours notice is given and a doctor’s certificate is not provided, the session will be charged as if it took place.
